There's no better way to experience "Island Time"-that slow shifting of hours that makes Port Aransas such an ideal vacation spot, than staying at Funky Parrot. Located in the Beachside community, this two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath condo offers elegance and includes access to a gorgeous saltwater community pool (heated in the winter months) with a slide and Palapa. 
As you enter this lovely home you are welcomed with a full kitchen, stainless steel appliances, a large fridge with an ice maker, granite counter-tops stocked with basic pots, pans, dishes, and utensils, all the modern amenities you'd expect right at your fingertips. The beachy décor is carried throughout the home. Savor your freshly prepared meals at the dining table with seating for six. Additional seating for three is available at the bar. The living room has a leather couch and loveseat made for relaxing and watching movies and sports on the large TV with cable and Wi-Fi. There are plenty of board games on the nearby shelf for kids and families to play together. There is a half bath on the bottom level for your convenience. Sip your morning coffee or adult beverage on the private, quaint, back patio in the ocean breeze. Venture upstairs to the bedrooms and gaming area. The guest bedroom (BR1) has two sets of Twin over Full bunk beds, a TV, and a chest. Access to the balcony is through this room as well. You can view the community and nearby neighborhoods from this covered outdoor seating area. The hall bathroom has a tub/shower. The kids will spend hours in the hall gaming area consisting of an arcade with over 60 games and an air hockey table. The master bedroom (BR2) is at the end of the hall. It has a King bed, nightstands, closet, TV, and armoire for your beach attire. The ensuite bathroom has a large, glass-enclosed shower. This gorgeous townhome is the ultimate spot for a family vacation, conveniently located 0.4 miles to the beach and 0.7 miles to shops and restaurants.

  • Shared charcoal grills around the pool area. Personal grills are not allowed.

This is a great place for families. Not only are you a short distance from the beach, there is a fun pool on the property. There is also a game room with air hockey and a fun video game console. There are plenty of beds upstairs for all the kids with a nice balcony. We didn't understand the TV use, but girls in the office (by phone) was very helpful in instructing us. Thank you We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Port A

Hurricane vacay

5 stars for place. Not for it being cut short due to hurricane we loved this place it’s cozy with extra downstairs and upstairs balconies and patio area as always the pool is a hit as we started out if beach water bc of the shark attacks down the cost. We loved the bunk beds as they are bigger in person . The extra games in game room area were an extra great touch for the kids. Great location . Right up from by the beach. We have stayed in this complex 5 times and return to it anytime.

We just ended our summer with a lil family getaway in Port Aransas at Beachside Condos (Funky Parrot)! Our boys loved it, and we all had such a great time! The lil game room in the condo and the pool with an awesome slide was a hit! The condo was super cozy, clean, and so close to the beach! Cant wait to come back!

It was a 3 nights stay for our family and very family friendly. The pool was warm and clean. Beach was short walk or stroll water was also warm not like usual cold. The townhome had everything we needed. Maybe needed a couple extra towels for us with long hair who like using two towels vs one. Also I recommend taking some extra blankets if you have little ones that need that extra snuggle and warmth or if you have two kids sharing a full take extra blanket or to snuggle up downstairs on couch to watch tv. Funky parrot was a great place to stay we will be back !!!

Great Rental property! Clean and well maintained. Very nice central location to beach and all restaurants. Keyless check in and check out is awesome! The included on site pool was very nice to relax in after a long day at the beach. Golf cart rental is worth every penny. Definitely will be back again.

It was great! We had a great time. We could not use the upstairs master bath for the first 24 hours we were there due to repairs from your previous customer but it was good. I guess they broke the shower door or something. That is what the maintenance man told us

The condo was clean and everything worked as expected. Our kids loved the air hockey table and arcade games. The pool was also a huge hit. Highly recommend!

This comfy 2 story condo was an excellent escape from the Minnesota cold. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the heated pool area fun with many other escapees enjoying it. Life In Paradise was easy to work with, and were so accommodating when they helped with the cable/tv operations. Once I figured it out, the 3 TV's were great entertainment on chilly days. The location is perfect, close to all the bars & restaurants PA has to offer, as well as the beach. You cannot go wrong in choosing the Funky Parrot.

We stayed with our 4 teens and it was a great fit! The pool and game room were amazing. The upper deck was a nice place to get away and relax or eat. The location is great and an easy walk to the beach for an evening stroll. The only negative was that there were no lamps, so in the bedrooms if someone was in bed trying to sleep and someone else was getting ready it was either lights on full blast or lights off. Overall we all loved it!

Loved, loved, loved this island paradise! Tastefully decorated, very clean and had everything we needed. Kids and adults all enjoyed the air hockey table and the arcade game (brought back memories!). Beds were so comfortable. Also enjoyed the pool. We will definitely make the Funky Parrot a frequent vacation location for our family!
