Casa Getaway is a newly remodeled, well appointed home in the La Playa neighborhood which shares a boardwalk to the beach. Grill the days catch in the shaded patio area, rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach and nap in a hammock. Venture up to the second level to the front balcony, perfect for taking in the breeze, sipping morning coffee and catching a glimpse of the Gulf. Inside you find coastal chic décor and grand ceilings. Unwind on the plush sofas while watching your favorite movie on the wall mounted TV with cable and Wi-Fi. The full kitchen is stocked with items for preparing meals such as dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Dine at the ornate table with bench seating for six. The master bedroom (BR1) has a Queen bed, chest, nightstands and closet. The convenient hall bath is equipped with a vanity, tub/shower and stackable washer and dryer. Stroll upstairs to an area that the kids will love. The large bedroom (BR2) has ample room for the kids to play games, color, stretch out and watch cartoons on the wall mounted TV. The room is furnished with a Twin over Twin bunk bed and a Twin over Full bunk bed with a Twin pull out trundle. The full hall bath is complete with a shower and vanity.

The home was clean and smelled amazing upon entry, which is somewhat surprising when a property accepts pets. It was in very similar condition to the way we remembered it our first time there in 2021. The view from the top deck was perfectly breathtaking. We love Casa Getaway and can’t wait to return.

We loved that house! I had friends that stayed there when it was brown, love what they did by making room smaller and opening up for a lookout to the ocean!! We have stayed in a lot of places and this was our favorite as it was so homey and comfortable!!! Also wanted to add that what you guys have started doing with earning money to get chairs umbrellas wagons etc, that is awesome bc you don’t have to pack all that to bring with you.

This house was great! I love that it has everything we needed to keeping it clean, and that it has normal size bottles of things like soap, lotion, dish soap etc. It was nice that someone brought our bin out to the road on trash day. Check in and out was so easy. The house itself was beautiful. I would stay there again.

Hello. First, I wanted to say the rating should be 4.5 stars, but there is no option.We really enjoyed the property and the location and will likely be back to stay in this same exact space. The property was cozy and clean, however, there were a few issues that we raised with the management company.The fan/light in the master did not work. Fortunately, we had brought our own fan, but the room stayed quite warm due to no circulation. Additionally, the downstairs shower would only function as a bath, so we resorted to using the upstairs shower instead. Lastly, our Wi-Fi was shut off upon waking up on our final day of stay.However, to balance all of this out, we loved the island. The local eateries and beach were so much fun. We liked having our own corner of paradise, especially around the cooler part of the year when the sun is not over-bearing. Additionally, on our way out, a Maintenance worker was already at the property waiting for our leave to address the reported issues. Had we not encountered slight inconveniences, I would have rated a 5 out of 5.

This La Playa house was just what our little family needed! The home was very clean and had all the starters needed for the first few days. The view of the sunrise from the upstairs balcony was absolutely beautiful with the relaxing sound of the Gulf in the background. In addition, it was our 14 month old daughters first beach trip and she absolutely loves the sand and saltwater. Memories were made and will be shared for many years to come of our visit. The few minutes walk to the beach was an added bonus.

My family and I stayed here for 4 days and loved it. It is convenient to beach and to town. Nicely decorated and feels like home. Easy to access when we arrived. Added feature was access to garage. I drive a jeep and it allowed me to store my doors and top without worry of it being stolen. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here last year and was happy to be back this summer. The location is perfect, close to town and a short walk to the beach. Nice neighborhood that is dog friendly! I love that there is a garage that can be used and comes in handy! The house is decorated in shades of blue and has everything you need while staying here. The patio has a sliver view of the ocean but the upstairs bedroom has a wonderful view! The only suggestion I have is I wished the small areas of grass in the yard had been mowed. My small dogs were too small to "go" in the tall grass. Also, there seems to be an electrical problem in the garage which needs to be looked at. That being said... I LOVE this house? Life in Paradise was so helpful as well! I will rent this property again and use Life in Paradise in future

This house has a great location and reasonably priced for a family to enjoy the beach. This is our 2nd time to rent this location and will be renting again on the 4th of July. The house is close to the beach (boardwalk or short drive away) as well as close to town. Are there nicer or better locations, yes but we find the value is good because the house is clean, set up well for a family, and the boardwalk makes for easy access to the beach. Not every house in Port A has a boardwalk or direct access to the beach.

Me and my husband had a wonderful time as this condo, it was a 5 minute walk to the beach, it was so cool waking up and walking a boardwalk to the beach. We had a great time. The condo was really nice, the only thing I would say is that the couch needs updating. The people at life a life in paradise, were very helpful and very nice. We loved our stay here, I would rent Casa Getaway again, the neighborhood is beautiful. five stars, I did not want to come home.

There were 5 of us who enjoyed the house, my husband and I and out 3 kids (10 yr old, 4 yr old, and 18 mth old). Everything was thought of, there were 2 sets of bunk beds upstairs, 2 beds of which were full. A separate bathroom upstairs and one down. Living room had enough seating for everyone and then some. There was enough room in the living room/dining area for me to set up a giant 6 ft diameter playpen for my youngest. The deck was nice, and tons of items in the garage available to include boogie boards which the kids loved. Best of all there was an outdoor shower and hose set up to wash all the sand away. Kitchen was beautiful and set up well. Everything was wonderful. Only complaint is there must have been cats recently inside the apartment and it needs a good lint rolling/vacuuming of the couches. My husband has terrible allergies to cats. Solved this by running to the drugstore and getting allergy medicine. Other than that, everything was perfect!! The walk to the beach was so quick and easy too! I would LOVE to go by again in the next month or so!!

As soon a Port A opened during the Covid \"crisis\" we scheduled a last minute trip. The house was clean and was suited well for a family of 4. Location to the beach was good as you could walk or take a golf cart.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Getaway. It was a short walk to the beach and always nice to come back to a clean, comfortable, and cool place to relax. Renting a golf cart was the BEST - they delivered it and picked it up when we were done with it.The management company's employees were all awesome and answered all of our questions immediately! Our only suggestion would be a new mattress in the main floor bedroom, and keyless entry.

Amazing Guest House, Walk to the Beach, Perfect Location!

This house was fantastic! We had such a great time. Upon arrival, check-in was a breeze, the house was clean and stocked with fresh towels. We had 6 guests, and everyone slept comfortably. The layout of the bedrooms is great. Two slept downstairs, four slept upstairs. Two full bathrooms, so plenty of space for everyone to shower.

The beach is a short 5 minute walk on the wooden walkway. The houses in the neighborhood seem to all be rentals, but everyone was respectful and quiet overnight. After a beach walk, there's an outdoor shower and hose to rinse sand off. Excellent!

Note: If you're new to Port A... You're at beach mile marker 7. This beach location has available portable restrooms, trash cans, and life guards.

Restaurants, grocery store, liquor store are all a short driving distance (rent a golf cart for maximum fun). Don't recommend walking, though you could (~1-2 miles).

The kitchen was a huge plus. There's a full range, with oven. Along with a full size fridge freezer, and plenty of counter space.

There is cable TV and free wifi provided by Spectrum.

Tips:

The description led me to believe there was only room for 1 vehicle, however, we were able to park 2 vehicles plus a golf cart rental (within range, and able to drive a golf cart rental to the property). You could even utilize the garage for an additional 3rd vehicle.

Not sure if permitted, but L1 EV charging is potentially possible from plugs in the garage. Check with the management company first. We left the Tesla at home for this trip, but next time I'll check beforehand to determine if I can use the plugs to charge.

We attempted to grill, but the supplied charcoal was spoiled due to the humidity. Consider buying a fresh bag upon arrival. Also, consider bringing a grill cleaning brush, as we could not locate one. A gas station is 5 minutes away and carries both, so no problem at all.

We rented this condo to be close to the beach and friends in another condo for Sand Fest 2019. It was just as the pictures described, great location. Wish we had rented a golf cart for sure but we just didn't know. I highly recommend a golf cart for getting around during Sand Fest. We would totally rent this place again, nice area, nice walk to the beach, clean and just perfect for use two. Had a room upstairs that we didn't use but would be great for kids. Property management company was super friendly! I will look to book with them again for sure.

Enjoyed Our Stay In La Playa

I liked the home very much. It would be nice to have the code instead of having to go by the office to pick up or drop off keys. It was hard to drop off keys because of all the traffic. We ended up parking across the street and me walking across the street and there were cars coming, which I didn't see and that could of been an accident. It would of been my fault for not looking. We didn't have a bbq pit and that would of been nice too, yet we ate out and enjoyed that much better than a bbq. All was good! Thank you!

We apologize for the inconvenience of bringing the keys back to the office and/or drop off box. Having keys or a door code pad is up to the property owner. We will be sending the suggestions and guest input to the owners. In the future, if the property has keys, we will probably just have you leave them on the counter of the home and we will have housekeeping bring them back to the office when they clean. If Heaven Had A Front Door

Absolutely beautiful 2BR home only steps away from the beach. Decor is perfect. Bedroom upstairs easily fits a small family of four, & includes a private bath.
Downstairs the bed in the master bedroom is straight out of an HGTV episode.
Coffee pot is old school. So leave your K-cups at home and pack some Folgers.
Caution: You'll get so relaxed on the comfy living room sofas, it's easy to forget you're at the beach. Avoid until you're back at night.
This house doesn't have electronic I'm keys. So make sure you get to town before 5 or call for arrangements.
Stairs and front porch can get slippery in the rain, so be careful!
Outdoor space is big enough for the family to relax & there's plenty of parking.

Spent the weekend with my family and in-law. This is a beautiful home just a short walk from the beach or a 2 min drive. kid friendly and plenty of room so no one is step over each other. loved the fact that there is a washer & dryer in the house. Great size porch to enjoy the breeze and sunshine. No noisy neigbhors to deal with below, above or on the side of you. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend this. We will be back soon!

We were very happy with this house. It’s walking distance to the beach, and was very clean and accommodating. The only negative we experienced was a pretty uncomfortable bed, which made it difficult to sleep. I’m also 7 months pregnant, so that didn’t help. We loved the place, however, and would definitely like to stay there again!!

Our stay at 12 La Playa

The house was great, everything we needed was provided except for a trash receptacle. We ended up using the receptacle from the other house we rented that weekend. Also, the floors were disgusting and there was animal hair everywhere. All over the floors and furniture. Definitely couldn’t wear anything nice if we wanted to sit on the furniture.

Port Aransas

The house was close to the beach and had ample space. The appliances were fairly new and in good working order. Other than that we were not impressed with the condition of the property. The interior was in poor condition with peeling and chipping paintwork throughout. The bathroom and kitchen cupboards are old and in very poor condition, especially the one under the kitchen sink which was dirty and seemed rotton. Some of the dishes and cutlery had food debris on them. The The walls in the master bath had been painted but only to a limited height and then it appeared they either ran out of paint or interest in completing the job. In the living area the sofa was somewhat worn and the cushions stained.
The exterior decking is covered with filthy matting. When we were there, pieces of roofing material, rusted nails and dirty foam were left. The property did not have an available bbq, it was possibly in the garage to which we did not have access. There was a very limited sea view from some of the windows, however they were so dirty it would have been difficult to see anything clearly.
The staff in the letting office were friendly and helpful in providing directions and recommendations for the area.

Nice quiet neighborhood with a short (for Port A) walk to the beach or close access road to drive. House has been repainted along with some remodeling. Nice middle of the road reasonably priced house.

Pleasantly surprised with house. Plenty of room for the kids upstairs while we stayed in master downstairs. Would suggest cleaning windows for a better view. Also outdoor patio really needed some work. Also liked that utensils as well as pots and pans were provided. Overall, we would stay again and recommend this house for families.

Denise is wonderful. There were a few hiccups but for the price, we aren't going to do a lot of complaining.

Beside having to wait for several hours so carpet could be cleaned, other than that and the lady said carpet wet but she was going to take off \"X\" from our rent because wet and this didn't happen.

My family loved the rental we stayed in, particularly the boardwalk access to the beach. We have four girls in the family, so the 3 twin beds in one room was perfect. The manager responded immediately with a serviceman when the air conditioning went out. Kitchen had everything we needed. Only complaint would be that the carpet looked in real need of a cleaning. Overall, we loved our stay!

I have friends with a house at La Playa Circle, so it was a no-brainer to rent a place as close to them as possible when we planned our annual Port Aransas vacation. Combining easy beach access and the comforts of home really made our stay enjoyable and worry-free. I brought friends who had never been to Port A, and they were quite impressed with the whole experience. The folks at Life in Paradise were great, and easily accommodated our late arrival. The properties around La Playa will definitely be my first choice for our next beach vacation. (Make sure you plan ahead - this is a popular spot.)

Memorial Day w/e stay

We have stayed on this street at least 6x in 3 diff houses, all thru Life In Paradise. Location is AWESOME! Love the parking spaces, outdoor shower & separate floor for kids. Huge master bath & 3 ceiling fans in house. Mem Day w/e not the best for a fam here tho. Too many crazy adults livin' it up. Will stick to Labor Day or Columbus Day from now on. Never fails that guy @ green house next door weedwhacks his lawn on a weekend morning when we are trying to sleep in. Cons: outdated tv's (but they did work) & furniture. Front porch light didn't work- never found out how to turn it on.

A terrific beach house

Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. The house couldn't have been in a more perfect location; the boardwalk to the beach is just steps away and good restaurants and the ferry landing just a short drive away. The set-up in the house is great, with a fully stocked kitchen and a second floor with additional bathroom and guest room with 3 beds. On the negative side, the living room furniture is not very comfortable, the carpeting is in very bad need of replacement (or better yet, remove the carpet and put in tile, especially in the kitchen and bathroom), and the TV in the upstairs bedroom was not connected to DirectTV.

You are right; the carpet does need replacing. I am looking into it and hope to get it done before too long. Steps have already been taken to make sure the TV upstairs is hooked to the cable.
