We had the pleasure of staying at Sandy Beaches at the Sunflower Resort in mid-July, and our experience was truly exceptional. The home is nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in a charming and tranquil corner of the resort, it comes with convenient reserved parking for two vehicles right next to its gate, making both loading and unloading a breeze.Accommodating up to six guests, the house features two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa. Upon entering, you're greeted by the beautifully designed lower floor, which includes a stylish living room, a home chef's dream kitchen, and a convenient half bath. The living room's décor is stunning, with meticulous attention to detail. The kitchen, with its exquisite color scheme and top-of-the-line appliances, was paradise. While we were excited to explore the beach and town, I found myself tempted to spend more time cooking in the kitchen than outside!Upstairs, the two bedrooms each have their own attached full bath, which is a fantastic feature, especially if you're traveling with another couple. The master bedroom features a luxurious king-sized bed, while the second bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed. The cleanliness and comfort of the beds, pillows, and linens ensured that we slept soundly each night. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, keeping the home perfectly cool during our stay. Additionally, the in-house washer and dryer were incredibly convenient for refreshing our clothing.The Sunflower Resort itself is a gem. It offers two centrally located pools, including one that is adults-only, along with a small bar and restaurant where you can enjoy food and drinks. We were fortunate to catch some live music one evening, adding a delightful touch to our stay. The resort also features a well-equipped fitness center and a covered area with activities to entertain children while you relax by the pool.For beach enthusiasts, the resort provides a private entrance to the beach, where, if you book online in advance, you can reserve chairs and umbrellas for a full 24 hours. Additionally, the Palmilla Golf Course is just a short golf cart ride away, making it incredibly easy to fit in a round of golf.Overall, our long weekend was nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed relaxing, playing golf, savoring delicious food, and spending time at the beach. If you and your family are seeking an elegant and serene retreat in Port Aransas, I wholeheartedly recommend Sandy Beaches at Sunflower. Lindsey and Steve are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
